The Reef Set: Reef Fish, Reef Creature and Reef Coral (3 Volumes)

The Reef Set: Reef Fish, Reef Creature and Reef Coral (3 Volumes) by Paul Humann (Author), Ned Deloach (Author). Reef Fish3rd Version, Reef Creature 2nd Edition and Reef Coral 2nd Version Identification books packaged in a beautifully printed Shelf Case.

This set makes identifying fish, creatures, and corals doable for anyone. The authors developed a revolutionary grouping system to assist the user focus observations, from which one can then discuss with the ebook to make a constructive identification. The pictures are fabulous, and within the Reef Fish e-book, the authors even inform you where they have been taken. Information is geared to those who spend time underwater (both the "Reef Fish" and "Reef Creature" books inform readers how organisms react to divers). Though one can use these books by thumbing through the pictures alone, there may be a lot helpful data in the concise writing mine up to the photos, especially the authors' notes and explanations of the identified groups. Descriptions accompanying the photos assist one be taught delicate differences and sharpen observations further. In all, these three books are "necessities" for individuals who want to know what they're taking a look at under the ocean.

Reef Creatures particularly is superb for determining what lives, bites and stings beneath the surface.
I even studied the Latin names and family groups.
A must for divers and snorkelers within the Caribbean!

The pictures in these books are stunning and the drawings to assist with differentiation are ideal. Everything that you will note in the Caribbean could be discovered right here except modern invasive species like Pterois (lionfish). The only actual downside to this set is the weight. In case you are getting these to take with you on a visit remember the fact that you could save room in your suitcase for a full 7 lbs. Fortunately they're ok that you'll not thoughts dragging round a brick.

Nice stuff. Clear images, ID ideas, key traits, life historical past, a bit ecology. Not solely helpful as a subject reference, however generally when I'm landlocked I thumb via these books simply to remind myself that these great creatures are actually out there. The books are well-constructed, much more-or-much less water-proof for those moments if you're so excited you just can't take the time to totally dry off. I assume you can say my relationship with these books is real-time nostalgia. Humann and DeLoach have carried out an amazing service for salty naturalists and the reef we love. Thanks.
